KIDS' CHOIR CAMP: Truths to Treasure

Who & What:  Truths to Treasure  is a camp for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade. The camp is limited to 30 children. Rachelle Hall will be leading the camp at Mill Springs Baptist Church. Rachelle is a Carson-Newman graduate and a local professional voice and piano teacher with 15 years experience. This camp will include singing, crafts, games, and more, which all focus on learning good singing habits; correct singing posture, breathing, tone, vowel production, and diction; and good listening skills and ear training.

Rachelle’s BIO:  Rachelle Hall is a piano/voice teacher and accompanist based in Knoxville.  She studied piano and singing from a young age and, at just 14 years old, got her first paid job accompanying for musicals at a community college.  She began her teaching career in 2009 during her undergraduate days at Carson-Newman University where she holds a Bachelor of Music degree. Since then, she has operated a private studio teaching students of all ages. From 2009-2022, she served as a staff pianist and children’s choir director for various local church congregations in Knoxville. As an undergraduate, she was a featured soloist in Carson-Newman University's performance of Handel’s Messiah and also performed with Concord Baptist Church’s recording and debut concert of Fear Not Tomorrow. Some of her other notable past performances include accompanying for various “Mighty Musical Mondays” and singing in the chorus for Keith and Kristyn Getty’s “Joy - An Irish Christmas” at the Tennessee Theatre. Currently, she stays active as an accompanist for choirs, orchestras and musical performances for Knox County Schools and local churches. 

CAMP COST:  $20.00 per child 

               (includes t-shirt & all materials)

CAMP TIMES:  Sunday - Friday,  6:00 - 8:00 pm    

              (childcare NOT provided)

      SUNDAY, JUNE 23 - CAMP KICKOFF & Final opportunity to register

              Parent/Guardian must accompany child to KICKOFF

              Registration is limited to 30 children.

      FRIDAY, JUNE 28 - Rehearsal & CHOIR PERFORMANCE

              General public welcome to attend performance
